Do You Think It's Right For CBS To Reject An Advertisement For A Gay Dating Website To Be Aired During The Super Bowl?

No I do not think this is right at all. I know this ties in to some touchy ares...mostly religion. I am some what religious, but there are some things I just don't agree with. I think that a persons sexual preference is there business and God's business..it has nothing to do with me or society, and if being gay makes a person happy then more power to them. You only live life once and you should live it to the fullest, and why should you go through life sad because society says same sex relationships are wrong? I am pretty sure that CBS aired regular dating sites.....and that is wrong....what if a homosexual person was offended at that??? But hey that's okay right...their opinion doesn't matter because they are gay and they are not equal to the rest of us! And this talk about...it will encourage people to become gay???? WTF are you kidding me. If you see a gay dating site commercial and you have thoughts of becoming gay or bi....then my friend I hate to tell you this...but I am pretty sure those thoughts have already crossed your mind in the past. And lastly.....they want to keep the ad out because they want to keep it as a family program....hmmm have you watched those superbowl commercials?? I would rather see a commercial for gay people then watch a suggestive beer commercial! I remember watching a commercial last year for some type of beer and there was an eagle flying down from a building snatching bras off of women....but yet that is okay...degrade are females and everything is okay...but to promote a site for homosexual people so they can meet others like them...and it's a huge deal. Honestly society is so screwed up, it makes me sick. Sorry for going on and on...this is a very touchy subject for me and it just honestly irritates me. Have a good one! =)

Quite frankly i think God is going to judge america for allowing the gay agenda to persuade/brainwash people/children into thinking their life style is okay/under his law and reign just as he did sodom and gomorrah.and these less than 2 percent of americans are going to be the cause of this judgement along with many many other sins .like removing God from the government taking any mention of him from the public view. In other words when we expect God to protect this nation he will have withdrew his hand and leave this nation to suffer from it's own sinful ways as we are seeing yearly right now the only reason this commercial was even mentioned was to give these people this group/site publicity for free by even acknowledging them. So they are producing offensive immoral ads to get notoriety for their disgusting life style. A known crime(sodomy/perversion) which is now being slowly thought of as okay with all of society when it will never be with people who follow God and his teachings. This said i do not hate the people just their actions/sins/knowingly trying to corrupt/putting a stumbling block in front of their own brothers and sisters sons and daughters mothers and fathers trying to destroy the very values that God /this country were built under.so the answer is i think cbs should have said the real reason behind denying this disgusting/perverted ad.they should have said it is against God's teachings and all things holy. Either we stand for what is right in God's sight or we suffer the what sodom and gamorah did.as the old saying says God would have to apologize to all he had destroyed for this same practice if he does not hold america accountable for allowing this type of material/act to become acceptable.remember you asked for a honest answer.

Thanks.
I just simply don't believe in your religion, and I did read it all, and it never made me angry. I just feel sorry for people that can't see outside of their vale.
Thank you.

I see where you are coming from and it is honestly a respected answer...however...what if everyone did not share the same religious views as you did?? You believe the homosexual lifestyle should not be open for the world to see because it is wrong in your religious views....but religious views should not be taken into consideration for something like this, not all people share those exact views. I am not trying to say you are wrong or slam your answer...I know you are just a caring person cont.

Wow, I had to add my comments to this one.  I'm gay, formerly straight, I like football, I dated a football player three years ago, I am religious and believe in monogamy, i believe that all people deserve love and intimacy and are entitled to respect.  Having once been engaged I knew it wasn't the right fit and fought all the stereotypical comments that a southerner could face.  I moved up north, was accepted and went on with life.

Life is short.  Be happy.  Celebrate.  Be in a monogamous relationship.  Tell your other half how much you love them in words and actions.

To those who have opinions of gay - well, you'd be surprised who is in real life.  Read the book "Behind the Mask" by Dave Pallone, goto a soccer game or watch swimming or basketball.  The 10% rule of the population of gay people is not as large as the reall number.  Some of us just don't want to be out in the parades or do drag.

Take away all they gay people in the word and this would be a sad bland and uncreative place to live.

G'day Stylelife,

Thank you for your question.

It is their decision what ads they show and don't show. The ad that was rejected seemed to me to be a bit over the top for family television viewing. I suspect the company concerned is happy with the publicity without having to pay for the cost of a Super Bowl ad.

Regards

Once again Keithold, you are spot on.
I don't agree with the commercial being aired during the straightest show on TV of the year.
I am suspect of their wanting to air it during this time and would not e surprised if they only did it for the publicity.
Thanks again.

They have the money and they call the shots, however I don't think any ad should be encouraging the public and our children that this life style is OK, because it will only cause them grief, it is not totally accepted by society so why hype it up.....thanks for the question.....there was a time kissing was not allowed to be shown on TV, and since it is we have more teen pregnancy, lets just portray positive things to the public perhaps that will lead to healing the world...

That would be pretty difficult to draw the connection with teen pregnancy & seeing kissing on TV. Do you know that white people and black people was not widely accepted & was illegal at one time too? The first few times it was on a ballot for the public to vote on, it was rejected.
I personally feel uncomfortable when the homosexual coupling subject is right there in my face, & I have never seen the advert on tv during anything else, and I question their motive for using the SB for their debut.

Stylelife...your questioning of the their motive to air during the superbowl....did you ever think their motive is for the viewers? A lot of people watch the SB...a lot more then who would normally watch television....did that thought ever run across??

Nomad, God doesn't exist. Where is he? All these stories are from 2,000+ years ago, why did he disappear? He "went to make a place for us in the afterlife".. Pretty convenient. It's all a load of bs, there's my decision.

And @ Stylelife: If they will air the anti-abortion commercial then they should air this. CBS has always been strict with keeping political influence out of the super bowl, yet this year they completely mix things up. Wonder why? No money? LOL!!!!
