I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to spend some time with friends but then come home and not spend the night with them. But if you get to the point where you don't want to spend any time with friends, you may want to talk to your parents or school counselor about your feelings. Do you enjoy being with a lot of friends or just one or two? Sometimes people don't like being around a group of friends, but would rather be around just one or two friends at a time.

If you are tired after a hard-working day, it is perfectly fine to spend the evening at home. There are times connected with your mood, physical state or weather when you really want nothing but to be at your place. However, if you find yourself being in this state of mind too often or for too long, there may be some external reasons that have to be defined.

Hello,

I do not think that it is bad if you like to stay at home.
It is great to spend time with family and friends. You can also relax and enjoy
yourself. However, I prefer to go out. I also need to take some rest at home,
since I have been working relentlessly.

Well, it depends on what is helping you make that choice. I have begun to realize that I am majority depressed and that is one of the conditions I feel that I have. Occasionally a friend will call and ask me to come over or will stop by. I can't wait for them to leave as I want to be left alone. I used to think that depression was a choice but now I have found that it is just like a disease. This all started after I went through my divorce and found I had no friends. I made some friends and started to go out with them on occasion but that lead me to where I started this conversation. The depression made me get sloppy with my work habits and I am now laid off and have been having a ruff time even sending out resumes or even writing a resume. Don't become like me, get help if you feel that what you are doing is wrong and could lead to worse things.
