The anniversary is basically the celebration of a past event after every year. There are different names given to anniversaries celebrated after a certain period. For example the anniversary celebrated after 150 years is called Sesquicentennial, after 125 years is Quasquicentennial while the one celebrated after 100 years is called Centennial. A Vigintennial or vicennial anniversary occurs after 20 years, Semicentennial or quinquagenary after 50 years and Semisesquicentennial after 75 years.
