my question is, is there a difference between arguing and me just stating my opinion that may conflict with the other persons and then building a conversation on that. is either of us wrong?

There is no one person "right" or "wrong". That's what stating "opinions" would mean.

Opinion is everybody entitled to it. How many differentiate between opinion and argue. Generally people ask you for your opinion on certain subject, when you express it, they won't stop at it and further they want you to substantiate it which eventually leads to arguments. Best to leave things as they are?

Well, in general, when opinions conflict, one will turn out to be either partially wrong or totally wrong and the other will turn out to be either partially right or completely correct.

But when you post an opinion, I would assume that you think that you are right.

And that's reason enough to post---you can't anticipate agreement or disagreement.

But you are "right" to post anything you think, subject to the rules of the individual website.
