so a lover asked me if I could help him with groceries & I had no reason not to trust him(he's never stolen anything from me) he overspent on my card & acted as if was nothing..SHOULD I CONSIDER HIM AS A THEIF?

depends. How over was he? Was it .50 cents? $1? If it’s very above what you told him, then he is a thief. BUT if you didn’t give him an amount to spend, or you forgot to, that’s YOUR fault.

From a legal stand point no he is not a thief because you gave your permission to use the card. He would have had to have your pin number. From a friend point of view... That's a question only you can answer.

Did you not discuss the dollar amount or range up to which that you were willing to help him?

This is worth discussing to find out how this happened for the sake of your relationship.

You classify them as "A Lover" . . . So my guess is that you are in a sexual relationship with them.

Maybe more communication with this individual might clarify EXACTLY what you are to each other . . .

Don't buy them groceries unless you go with them next time . . .
