My ex is supposed to be joining the military, and he wants to get back together. He seems to have changed for the better, but I don't know if I trust it and am afraid of settling if I take him back. What should I do?

As a military wife, I an tell you it is not an easy relationship. You need to trust each other completely. You need to be self sufficient when times are rough and they are gone. You need to be tough. You will find yourself dealing with everything from legal issues, to natural disasters, to fixing the plumbing while your other half is serving our country. You will often come in second. If you cannot do all of this than walk away. If you cannot trust the other person completely, walk away.
