Compare capitalistic West Germany to socialist East Germany and ask yourself which you'd prefer. Capitalism works but it's a bit Jekyl and Hyde.

Laissez faire capitalism -- uncontrolled exploitation -- is the evil Mr Hyde who feeds, greedily on the people he exploits. But when capitalism's excesses are restrained by sensible governments it provides the best financial system we have yet known.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that all capitalistic systems are the same.

By working hard, spending wisely, and saving as much as possible. Then retiring at a reasonable age to where I can enjoy my time to play.

I hardly will spend my money anymore, in fact it's almost gotten a bit OCD because if I buy something that I don't need, like a candle or something , I have to figure out where to put  it and it's JJST another useless piece of junk .

So anyway, since I don't buy things very much except food , I went to Hobby Lobby tonight  to buy flowers for family graves (not my idea... My sister from Texas asked me to) and I was SHOCKED how much fake flowers are !!! (They have to be silk or whatever or they die in two days). Dang I said FORGET THIS! I am not spending $80 on fake flowers that used to be $10 !!!

So I am really out of the loop on current prices so that's how I handle it.......I don't spend money unless I absolutely have to . I have nothing on credit- if I don't spend cash, I don't buy it.

Understand that you are both an insignificant cog, as well as the fuel for it . . .

Consumerism . . . You keep wanting, they keep providing.

Of course it is consumerism. But what do you do when you can not keep up with it?

?? Supply and Demand . . you increase Resources and Material proportional to the Need.

Only restriction to production demands are Resources (people, machinery, money) and Materials (Raw production materials needed).

Are you talking about the consumer?? . . . if so, modify your "Needs to Wants" ratio to live within your means.
