I'll disagree with Bikergirl ... Exclusive dating defeats the entire point of dating, which is to get to know as many personality types as possible in a "pre-relationship" setting - so that you can decide which type you eventually want to marry.
What this guy wants is to control your relationship status - without giving up his freedom.
Dump him. NOW.
It's called exclusive dating .. A smart thing to do. He wants to get to know you better before he commits to a "relationship". I wish more people would do it instead of jumping into a committed relationship far too soon .
