I'm sure your parents would be glad to have you visit them for that time, Skunky ! Just tell the camp people that more pressing matters have come up and you need to see your parents. Not a lie but just stretching the truth a little. That should work my friend. Go see your parents ! They won't always be around so spend as much time with them as you can ! Hope that works for you.
Im thinking about just going to my parents for the 11 days instead of camp. Last year was 100% miserable for me since i recently stopped using both my canes and wheelchair a week before going. (i used my canes 24-7 for almost 10 months straight due to bad spinal and hip problems), plus my spine and hip issues were at its worst then.
