What is love... love to me is being with someone that you cannot live without. Love is giving and receiving respect, honesty, caring, trust and happiness with that person, always.

I guess love means something different to each person, but to me it's all about unconditional kindness and caring. Loving someone or something means wanting to look out for them, without expecting some sort of "reward" in return.

There are also lots of different "types" of love: A mother who loves her baby, two lovers who love each other, a sports fan who loves his/her favorite team, a true patriot who loves their country...

It's a display of passion or affection, an unspoken feeling, an emotion that drives much kindness, but could also launch a war (the whole Helen of Troy thing..)

Love is all around us, but also desperately sought out. And most of the time, it's still a mystery!

I'm not a religious person but this quote always struck me as true - 'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.'
