There are risks to any behavior you engage in. This includes sex as well. There are STIs, pregnancy, among a few others. But those can be mitigated through the use of reliable contraceptives (like the pill, patch, vaginal ring, shot, IUD, implants) and STIs can be prevented through testing (you and your partner) as well as using condoms (either male or female).
