Hi Emily boys always prefer girls directly rather than chat. You call him, ask him to meet you. All the best to you.
Okay, I like a guy I met online who lives in another state, and I don't know if I should ask him out or if I should be worried about talking to him. What should I do?
You know that meeting strangers on the internet is not always safe, don't you?
I don't think you necessarily need to be concerned that you met this guy online - plenty of people meet online these days, it's becoming a perfectly acceptably forum to make connections with people these days, which is great!
So I would say, if you like this guy- go for it!Using Skype or Facetime to chat allows almost the same intimacy as face-to-face. Sure, you're not actually in the same room, but it feels as though you are, and the way you interact is a lot more natural and conversational than chatting over the internet.
It can be a little awkward to begin with, but at least you can be reassured that you know exactly who you are speaking to, and all the small things like mannerisms, tone of voice, and body language can become more apparent through this type of communication.
Although you know better than anybody what this guy is like, there's truly no harm in being safe and putting your mind at ease. Then you can just look forward to spending some time with your new love interest once the video chat goes smoothly!
Don't hook up with someone you met online. He's very likely not what or who he claims to be.
