Technically speaking, they are physically able to (so they can), but it is not acceptable in their community. If you really are curious, then ask the woman herself. Some Muslims are more strict than others so you'll just have to know how strict she and her family is. And yes, you must consider her family because in many non-Western cultures, including Muslims, family plays an extremely important role in their life and the decisions that they make.
