When my mom hits me i hit her back...Is that bad to do?

Why in the hell is your mother laying hands on you in the first place? Yes hit her back its called self defense. I know that sounds wrong but I suggest finding somewhere else to live if you are serious. Its never good to lay hands on anyone.

Personally, I would probably fight back. That's just me, though and I know my mom would *never* hit me, or even lay a finger on me. She never even whipped me when I was little. But, yeah. I guess if she's abusing you, I would fight back. But, if it's just a one time hit, I'd walk away and let it blow over- maybe, report it to the cops. Only defend yourself if you have to. If you can walk away from it, then do so. That's my advice. I know your think I am bad. But this is what I think

When your  mum  starts  hitting you , yell  police police  and  she  will  stop , She can get  in  trouble , My heart  goes  out  to you having your  troubles with mum

Hun read the answer I just you on your last post. Also. You mother sounds nuts. I've read heaps of the posts you have put up. You are ina  toxic household. Your mother has gone way beyond discipline, now she is just being a mental bitch. If she does it again threaten to press charges. And when you got to the center I told you about, tell em about this, it will help to get you a house quicker. Oh and quite frankly, in your certain situation, I would hit her back.

It sounds like you and your mom may benefit from some counseling. Hitting is not healthy when done to anyone for any reason!

This is not so black and white and without knowing more detail about your relationship with your Mother I can't give you the best answer. Fundamentally, yes, it is very wrong to hit your Mother but at the same time (depending on the circumstances) it's wrong for her to hit you.
My advice to you would be this, firstly, evaluate your behaviour and make positive changes. You sound like an intelligent person and you clearly want to change the behaviours as you sought out help. She is your Mother and deserves the respect and good behaviour from you. Secondly, talk to your Mother. Not straight after a heated disscussion but when you're both in a good mood. Explain to her that you want to improve the relationship on both sides. Explain how it feels when she hits you and talk about the changes you will make in your behaviour.

Definitely it is bad on your part to hit back your mother.Admittedly, it is rude on the part of your mother to to hit you; but be mature and tolerant in dealing with the one who has given you birth.By not resorting tit for tat, you will feel yourself as a great soul inside and get a lot of inner peace.

I don't know how old you are but you are not ever suppose to hit your mother.  I grew up in the day when your mother could beat the shi- out of you and you just stood there and took it.  Never in my life would I ever dream of hitting her back.
