In addition to what Elisa said, what you eat can also affect the smell down there. If you eat a lot of fruits..it may taste sweet to the guy..if you eat a lot of high-salt foods..it will be saltier ..and so on..But infections such as yeast infections are because of the PH balance have been affected. Naturally, its supposed to be acidic levels..and when you have an infection..the levels may be more on a base side..Which affects the smell...also..some of the soaps you use,  fragrance can give you an infection and  an "off" scent.

Its not supposed to smell bad.  Maybe thers an infection. It should smell good, due to all the pheromones, but like I said might be an infection. FYI: Doesn't need to be sexually transmitted either, just an imbalance will make the scent "off"
