Don't do it. If you simply want to share your life with someone, why "shop online" for marriage? I am from that area. Moved and went to school in US and met my husband here - we're happy - but getting a little sick of the "was she a mail order bride" jokes. Let me tell you, the myth of Russian/Ukrainian Brides here has the reverse version of Stupid Western Husbands there. The woman will try to find a reasonable man with $$ and status, move here and marry him (usually briefly) and then divorce, getting a nice settlement (which they often can't get in their home judicial system) and a greencard, if not citizenship! Works well for them! Be careful. Remember - most of these women have a college education, a career, and usually children. Very few of them are naive passive cute girls looking for a "nice man". There are plenty of nice men in Ukraine! It's the greenbacks and the allure of being whisked away to a foreign country like a princess :-)
Also, I would argue against participating in this system that (perhaps unintentionally) endangers women. Some of the potential husbands are essentially pimps who marry a woman bring her here and then take her passport and sell her to a prostitution ring. Many many horror stories. Why do you think there are so many Russian/Ukrainian call girls in Abu Dhabi? It's crazy...
If you really want to find a life partner and are interested in Eastern Europe (not just b/c you think they're hot), travel there, take language classes, etc. Don't forget there are many many Eastern Europeans (incl single women) right here in the US! They are more familiar with US culture, language etc. It is no small thing to bring a woman to be your WIFE from a totally different culture and part of the world. Ukrainians and Russians believe in a strong extended family so it is usually pretty traumatic for these women to be torn away from their relatives, even if they don't expect it to be. They might adjust by demanding that you bring their relatives to visit - on YOUR dime.
Overall, be careful about following an idealized picture of the Ukrainian bride. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. (DEFINITELY is, in this case). Good luck!
