The truth is that even great leaders are imperfect.   A Godly leader is simply one who has answered the call of God to serve and minister to others, it doesn't mean that they are instantaneously made perfect.   We all make decisions that others will disagree with and even we come to regret.   Let's look at this whole family as brothers and sisters in Christ, not just church leaders who should have lived up to our standards - if they   failed, let's forgive them, embrace them, pray for their family's healing and reconciliation.   If they continue to stand by their decision to disown their daughter, let's leave it in God's hand.   He is their judge, not us.

No one can really articulate their position unless you are them and really identify what took place. Talking to just either side is getting a bias position from what actually took place. You can only imagine what you would do. You cannot declare what you would or would do until you were faced with a circumstances that may cause you to do such. Your child stealing from you is pretty hurtful. You child stealing from the church is an even greater grief to bear especially when you take your office seriously. From a biblical stand point many men died instantly from stealing. In addition, Pastors see themselves after the same order as the Priest of God in the bible. Those Priest who ignore their children’s sin were cut off and removed from the Priestly lineage. So it could be them acting within a biblical mandate and has nothing to do with unforgiveiness.  Furthermore, your child along with her husband stealing from you ministry is excruciating  hurt. When you are on the outside looking in its easy to judge someone else’s life, but some of us who are writing these post are having difficulty forgiving exes that hurt us years ago. Some of us have disowned relationships and don’t speak to love one over unforgivineness.  We don’t really know what their motives are or what they feel their mandates was in handling this. Yet, the truth is stealing is wrong. Furthermore, we don’t know if that’s all that took place. From this point forward, we should live our own lives, pray for them, and move one. If you decide to go there or not that your own private decision. Move on!

I think that people have to look at what happens when you do something like steal from the church. What would you do if you know someone is stealing from your own house? You can forgive them, and continue to love them but you would not give them the same freedom or responsibilities they once had. Some people stole from my church several years ago and they were just kicked out the church and now their resumes are marred in the church arena. Talk about forgiveness, they should know first hand about how people in the bible were destroyed for stealing or holding back from God. It affects the whole congregation and leaves a stain on the ministry in the city and as you can see online.

Everyone talks about stealing. Who said the girl stole somethng...how do you know? I donn't. Have you seen proof...have you talked to the other side?

Just wanting to hunt down the truth here...cause I don't know what happened and all I hear is conjecture and hearsay.

They have four daughters and Kermeshea Hilliard-Evans has been forgiven. The truth of forgiveness is that I can forgive you and not trust you again or hold you to certain standards/boundaries and that is what has been done. You know if you listen to the middle daughter when she preaches, you'll hear her sometimes say that she has two nieces. And we only see one which is Tina Hilliard-Egans daughter--which speaks great volumes to your question

I know and speak to Kermeshea personally and  the family disowned her  and it has been 10 years since the maddness. Now if God can forgive us no matter whhat we do who and why we can' t do the same we say and preach Christ and hw we are made in his image and his likeness but that only when it benefits us I guess. God is love and they should be able to forgive no matter what she did sure there should be consequences but to get a letter saying we disown you please. As for the person tht says there is a niece they don't see Kermeashea has 3 boys no girls.

I've known about the child situation for a while now. I could never disown my own child. We mess up with God all the time and he never disowns us. He works with us...on us. I think the real issue here is to understand that they (Hilliards) are flawed just like the rest of us. For whatever reason they thought that this was the appropriate response...who knows. Hell I've done things that many probably would not approve of. I respect his message but I do not co-sign on to all of his actions. You should never do that to anyone. I don't know anywhere in the bible where it says I have to. Although I admit this does put a damper on any message of forgiveness or family relationships. Just view him like everyone else in the world...flawed, capable of evil, etc...just like the rest of us. That's kinda the whole point of us needing Jesus.

Bishop and Lady B have four daughters, one of whom has chosen to disown her family.  I've been a member for 18 years and have heard many rumors.  Some true and some not.  But all in all, when you steal from the church, there is a price that you have to pay...publicly, privately, and spiritually.  It's been about 4 to 5 years since all that took place and everyone  seems to have moved on.  Kermeshea is doing well, but I know she misses her family and the church.  I'm sure she's asked God to forgive and I know He has.  But the question remains in my mind, " Have Bishop and Lady B forgiven her"?

Lets get this straight, she did not disown them, they disowned her. They are some pitiful people and whoever follows them should be ashamed of themselves. How can you preach forgiveness and they can't even forgive their own flesh and blood. I've known the entire family for 25 years and I know both sides of the story.

THEY ARE NOT OF GOD! They are about money. I know this as a fact as I have flown the Gulf Stream IV that they own! A multi-million dollar aircraft. We as pilots were treated like s**t, had to beg for our money for our services, may GOD give them what they deserve.
