Yes some leave believing the grass is greener on the other side when it's not. However some are truely unhappy in marriages, maybe it was pre-arranged due to cultural tradition, maybe he got her pregnant so marry out of obligation or maybe his heart was in the right place just married the wrong woman, in which case he leaves the wife for the mistress and they have often times had growing marriages to the mistress.
