Does Marriage Affect Social Security Disability Benefits?

I would think so because if you are married you are entitled to a portion of his/her social security benefits if there are any but there will be a adjustment made to your check, it maybe more or less or discontinued depending on the circumstances .....the best to you

Yes it does. I know a few people you would be married but live together because they don't want their benefits cut.

As far as I know, Disability benefits are not affected by marriage. However, Social Security benefits for a widower will discontinue up on remarriage.
