I have been to book my wedding tonight it has cost £612. Its a normal church we have not had anything over the top. It cost about 250 for the church then you pay the reverand fee then your bands fee then the choir fee, the organist fee etc etc.

I think the actual cost in the church of England is about £142. So it's not really one of the big expenses if you are getting married. You will also have to pay a fee to have your bands read out, from memory it's about £30 but if you live at the same address don't conceal it from the vicar as it is one less set of bands to pay for if you live in the same parish.
