Right, first off, I'm in this situation too haha, but I'm going to tell you all the things I have learnt so far :)
don't ask him what he is wearing, when I once said this to a boy, I got in a big sticky situation haha, so I wouldn't ask that unless you was reallly close!
Things that have worked for me, are lines like this..
Boy: So you been up to much?
Girl: Yeah, just got in from shopping, saw a nice top that would of suited you really nicely!
Boy: Oh really? I would like to see this top :)
things like that, what will lead a small convosation into a big one, another thing, is you need to be grown up about things he says, but saying aww is always an acception :D, as this makes you sound interested :)
and also, do NOT use emotions like ;) too much, as this will make you sound too interested!

I thought id answer this question as I met a guy online and now were like in love lol .. So basically when he flirts show you apreciate it by saying something like "aww thats so sweet" or something. Also when you say bye say "byeee x" its cute but not to overboard. To be flirty ask queations like "what are you wearing" lol .. Also if I say brb to him and he askes where did you go I usually say "shower" its flirty but not overboard .. + makes them think of you in the shower lol. When talking don't use words or sentences that kind of stop a convo such as if he askes how are you don't say somehting like "good you?" say more .. Its more intresting and they will talk to more too lol so something like "oh I'm good thanks .. The solution to your query is actually wee bit more simpler than you think it is. Guys are hunters, they're usually on the lookout for more action wherever they can find it. You may think you're looking like an idiot when you flirt but you don`t. One solution could be using suggestive hints that are a)subtle in nature , b) have child like innocence. For example *sprinkles pixie dust on you*.. Now it may appear as completely harmless whereas in truth you'd instantly get his attention doing so. I could offer more solutions if I know where you want to take the relationship with the said guy, etc etc.

I'm in this situation too, I've liked this boy for ages, but haven't talked to him for 2yrs because I moved house, though I've now found him on facebook (got to love the internet!) so I'm going to take a nice picture of myself, I got my hair done to feel more confident, and then use it as my profile pic, so that's the 1st thing he see's hopefully he'll think I'm okay looking!

Don't be over emotional, be subtle but not so much that its not pretty obvious, have a good laugh and never flirt with a guy that you don't like as this sends bad signs.

Add emoticons when you can, especially the wink face, but don't go overboard and use emoticons from other websites etc, just stick to the original ones.
