What I do is first I try holding my breath for as long as I can to make them go away. If you hiccup while trying to hold your breath just try again. If after trying that and you still have hiccups, then trying holding your breath while drinking water. Take really tiny gulps, as many as you can while holding your breath. It’s not about how much water you drink; it’s about how many gulps. I just try for 12 gulps first. I’ve also heard that getting scared and screaming can make them go away, but the water trick always works for me. You might get them again later that day, but you can just do the tricks again.

Drink a glass of water but you have to place a utensil like a fork ( prongs down for safety ) into the glass first.

Drink the water with that utensil touching the right side of your face.

Not sure why this works but it does.

This is an entertaining and fun question! I love hearing all these remedies!

My solution is to drink a glass of water with a paper towel over the top. It works everytime. (A napkin does not work as well so stick to paper towels.)
