You raise them to "Try and always fit in" they will more readily succumb to the "Heard Mentality" . . . To which most parents say "If Joe Smith jumped off a bridge would you??" . . . Well, yeah . . . If you raised them to be part of crowd or a too submissive and compliant, you have been conditioning them to follow this line of thinking.
