A year ago today we adopted Skully. This is known as his "Gotcha Day" and he has already gotten one gift, with some more to follow. Does anyone else celebrate a Gotcha Day for their rescue?

I adopted my dog Myla on Feb. 3rd. 2011, at the age of 3 months and we always have a celebration on that day. We have another celebration tomorrow, Nov. 9th, her birthday.

This is a picture of her on the day I adopted her.

I've never heard of Gotcha Day but I like it. Sadie would've been a breeder and living in a barn herding cattle if we wouldn't have got her. We celebrate her birthday, but now we have another day to celebrate.

Skully has gotten one new chew toy already and a couple of others surprises coming later on.

We adopted Peanut in Feb. He was rescued in Dec last year from a Puppy Mill.  Here is a picture of when he was rescued and after he was cleaned up. He is a great friend to Bentley, our other dog.

His first three years were in a cage.

It's the only day we have to celebrate, since we have no idea what her age or birth date might be.  The shelter picked her up as a stray.

Interesting...even though his early life was not that good, still he is now very trusting. You posted a photo with him lying on his back, belly exposed...that is against their natural instinct, only happens with great trust...good job, Rooster.
