Just a normal day in America. I really don't think anything is getting worse. In my middle years, we on the Left Coast wouldn't have even heard about the Huston killings. There was no cable news, and there wasn't a 24 hours news cycle to fill. In my youth there was local news, really big national news, and filler from AP in the newspaper. Network news was a 1/2 hour show and that was it. So what we have now is just more information faster.
The bible calls the times that we are living in "the last days". It tells us at 2Timothy 3:1-5 that critical times hard to deal with will be here. Men will be lovers of themselves...disobedient to parents, unthankful disloyal, having no natural affection. These are the attitudes that permeate society. But the bible also tells us that God is very much interested in our happiness. The bible tells us at Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe out every tear from their eye and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore.
