1. Getting up.ย

2. Leaving my home each day for 2 hours. I've made it 47 days. It's extremely hard, but I'm trying not to give up ๐Ÿ˜„.

Raising 5 kids, (especially the 3 daughters!). Both the greatest test and the best journey of my life.

Yes, The Z, I suspect that perhaps that is actually the secret to raising daughters in this time and place of our parental function.

Best they know what can be rather than be taught to settle for less.

No doubt, Tiger. Our grandbaby will benefit from our many years of practice in that regard.

Scriptwriter Frank Muir said he once saw a sign saying Cul de Sac under which somebody had written, "What isn't?" On that basis I'd have to say that surviving on this planet for almost 80 years is a feat of endurance.

Then again, I suppose walking with arthritis in the extremities could translate as "feet" of endurance.

Makes all the marathons I ran and the triathlons I completed seem pretty feeble by comparison.

That's another comment I appreciate. I wasn't aware that I was angsting. I didn't mean to. I'll need to be a little more careful. Appreciated, Virginia.

Dozy, I was just accepting it as the changes of life...I know that what Lynne has gone through/is going through affects you also, and I was just assimilating what I knew of the whole picture of a dear friend.

Making it through two approximately 24 hour coach journeys (from the UK to the French Alps and back). We travelled overnight, and didn't have many rest stops. I didn't get any sleep and my legs and back were aching from being stuck in the same position for so long! I also didn't know anyone else going on the trip, so I had no one to talk to for both the journeys and week long trip itself. I was so glad when it was over!

Eight years in the Green Berets. The training alone was tough as I ever been through. Then came the weeks of laying in the jungle night after night and not moving at all. That took some real endurance !

It's hard to imagine just how tough that was. When I was with the army reserve I did a two-week unarmed combat course with our commando. One of the most interesting things I've ever done. It was tough, but I was only a tourist.

I was an 18 year old teen and it was rough but you just got better at it. Learned Japanese Jiu-Jitsu for unarmed combat. Which was a lot or only a stiletto .
