I'm right-handed and so is my ex, but my son is left-handed. At nine months old, I noticed him favoring his left hand but wanted him to decide on his own which way he would go. He plays sports left-handed, can be ambidextrous in eating and writing. It just cracks me up when he starts eating with his left hand and finishes up with his right.
I am somewhat ambidextrous, but my brother, an uncle and a nephew are lefties. It makes seating at family gatherings a bit tricky.
