I've stopped a few fights with people that I don't even know. It was a bullying situation each time. I can't stand that. I was only hit once when I intervened so I've been lucky. I hate when people just stand around while someone, usually much smaller, is being beat up. And I really don't like when the cameras come out, people dancing around trying to get a better angle and the person on the ground is bleeding and crying for help. Seriously pisses me off.
I have never done that but if others try to pick up fight with me, then it's another story, however, I usually do try to calm everything & everyone, talk, solve & get settled, but too many blah or one wrong touch on me or the people that I care about. Then the time comes that no one can control me!
