Nah. It ain't something you choose to be.
It honestly depends what you believe. As an atheist, I don't believe there is such a thing as a sin, so I would say its absolutely fine if you are gay. However, if you are religious then it depends. Some people say that God disagrees with homosexuality and therefore would say that it is a sin, however other people believe that God loves people unconditionally and will still love you even if you are gay, so it isn't a sin. And a few people are in between and say it is okay to be gay but not to act on those feelings. Maybe you should research what the teachings of your particular religion say about this and make a decision from there.
Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with being gay. People claim that God is a loving God, and if that is the case then he should love you regardless of your sexual orientation.
Yes being gay is a sin.
God has given us rules of living and told what is right and what is wrong. HE make us sensible enough to choose between the two and if one chooses the wrong way it considered as sin.
If being gay wasn't a sin and there was nothing wrong in it then HE would make this a custom that two people of same sex can marry each other, males with males and females with females. But there is nothing like it male can marry only female and then they grow their family.
I know that the bible references male homosexuality to be sinful. However there is debate on how the bible references women's sexuality.
