Some Fathers ? I've never met one in my life that wasn't overprotective of their daughters including myself. For some reason, daughters will always be Daddy's little girl. No real explanation as we just want the best for them. I don't see it as overprotective, just natural.
Because we're daddy's little girls and this day and age, there's a lot of boys/men who take advantage of us. No father wants to see that happen so they make sure we're always safe
Oftentimes, Fathers know what a young man is REALLY thinking! They can see things that their daughters simply can't from both experience and years of wisdom. It's very similar to way some Mothers are overprotective with their sons. I know I have weeded out a few floozies when my son was dating as a teenager! 😉
Because there are nut cases out there you have to watch your kids.
