Putting off getting a needle aspiration on a lump on my dog. Twice. (Different vets, different dogs.) Both lumps turnout to be cancerous. Both ended up being fine in the long run, but the size of their incisions would have been much smaller if I went with my gut to begin with.

Point your skis straight down the hill.  Envision the Lodge at the bottom and soon you will be there.  If you hit a bump, keep those skiis pointing toward the lodge.  If you are afraid, close your eyes and go to a happy place.

I don't excel in downhill skiing to this day because of this wee amount of information given to me when I was 6 years old.

[Thor smiles]

Stan Lee: Neither was Omaha Beach, blondie! Stop trying to scare us, come on.

Thor: [fills Stan Lee's cup]: OK, then.

Thor: [after being asked by Natasha about the Hulk]: The gates of Hel are filled with the screams of his victims! But not the screams of the dead, of course. No, no... Wounded screams...
mainly whimpering, a great deal of complaining and tales of sprained
deltoids and... Gout.
