I am doing a documentary on Long distance/online relationships and need the public's opinion. Do you feel like they can work. Are they are a real type of relationship? Are they worthwhile?

Has anyone any suggestions about how to convert a regular relationship to a long-distance one?

Ha! Maybe a big boot? I have a knack for being annoying to women who get to clingy! Good luck!

A one way airplane ticket!? A treasure hunt that has no treasure, just directions to get someone lost?!

Sometimes they can. Mainly depends on the type of people. I got into one that was a total disaster. Then I found out that she was married and jealous of any female I spoke to on another site. Drove me nuts and I said I would never do that again. But, I met another sweet lady and we became friends and talked a lot on Skype and e-mail. Now, I can't wait to meet her as it's been about a year and we know all about each other.

So, it's got to be an open relationship and you have to really get to know the other person. Too many people out there just catfish for attention and never make a commitment .

I don't think that they can work because you need to have face-to-face communication with someone. Phone calls and Skype can only go so far. I personally wouldn't try long-distance, unless I had been with someone for a very long time and one of us had to move away... Although I can't see how it would work out if we lived really far apart;  we would probably break up, unless we could move closer again.

Yeah they can work with the right people....with eventual plans on one or the other moving. Otherwise....I doubt it!
