Maybe you're an introvert. Introverts typically value silence and alone time.

Introverts are also thought to be deep thinkers and are often annoyed with 'small talk'. It's just our personality! ^.^

Yes, I do feel the same way. I'd much rather be alone than with others around me..

Some people just seem to do better on their own, I guess they're what you'd call an introvert.

There's a lot to be said for introspection, being pensive, and enjoying the serenity and calm of being alone.

These days, it seems we're constantly surrounded by other people, noises, notifications, and alerts... I can definitely see the appeal of disconnecting from the world and enjoying "alone time".

However, humans are also social creatures in the biological sense, and it's part of our natural instinct to want to bond with, compete against and interact with other human beings...

It's these instincts which have helped us survive on this planet... So to deny yourself human contact on a longterm basis doesn't make much sense to me.

As with most things in life, the best answer is probably a balance:

If you're constantly surrounded by others and never have your own privacy, then that can be torturous.

Living a solitary and excluded life isn't much better though. So you'll need to find a way to juggle the two, in order to find true inner harmony :)
