It is all in your  mind.....litterally. Your mind can lead you to a happy mood, or a crappy mood because it is based on what you are thinking about at the time. If something funny happens, laughter happens, and suddenly the mood changes. Your mind suddenly is not on the crap of the day, but the situation at that moment. Some people put in a comedy movie to get them out of a "mood their in" as a remedy.

Depends on the person, but when adults have it, this could be a sign of bipolar disorder, when teenagers have it it is due to hormone imbalance

YES! Our hormones overreact and they shift and whaddya know! Mood swings! My Great Grandmother has mood swings but so does ma lil bro!
