You can donate PART of you lung or lung tissue it all depends on what condition she has. Also you have to consider the possabilty of rejection. Some patients bodys don't react to transplants as expected. Be sure you talk to your friend, family and you doctor to get all the facts. Good luck

I have never heard of a lung transplant! I am not sure any doctor would even perform such a surgery do to the location of the lungs. Then again the reduction in your life style and ability would be greatly reduced. This is not like a kidney. There is also compatibility issues as well as rejections issues that would greatly hinder such a donation.

Sure, you can!

if you're that generous and if that's what you want to do (I'm just kidding).

but if you donate it then you'll probably going to die :) because, I think, you can't live without your two lungs. :)

You can live with one lung.
My question is really "does the donation have to be live or dead."?
Not to sure.
She was added to the transplant list.
