We are having the same thing, we are going to the JP. My (husband) and I decided to have a backyard BBQ, with drinks and chips. You really can buy a lot of meat for the grill for cheap and set everything up real nice. But I don't know, we're from East Texas so we like BBQ. I also wanted to do something to fill everyone's stomach that wouldn't cost much, because when I go to receptions I'm always hungry, and usually leave hungry. Just a thought!!!
I would say finger sandwiches, etc. Maybe chicken salad croissants. With a cookie, and some punch or slushiest. That is always fun to eat, and they are my favorite when going to wedding receptions. Yummy! You can also do vege trays, with olives, etc. Good luck and congrats if it is you getting married.
Good luck! we did a backyard wedding. It was wonderful we also did finger foods and salads. We did chicken on a stick, chicken wings, small smoked sausages in a bun (pigs in a blanket) shrimp on a stick, roasted veggies on a stick, roasted pinapple and shrimp on a stick. Lots of things on a stick. For the salads we did several of them and served them in the small plastic punch cups. We also did fruit in cups like those. Chips and several dips, veggie trays, meat and cheese trays, several crackers. Hope that helps don't forget to have fun that day smile
Congratulations! Are you having a themed or non-themed wedding reception or a relaxed get together with family and friends?

We all have the task of fitting our bridesmaids with `very different` body types into a nice matching dress. I found some links at www.wholesale-weddingdress.com to some great websites that offer mix and match tops and bottoms, making it easier to fit everyone.
