What Does It Mean When People Say You're A Bitter Person?

It means that you are never happy for yourself or others. It means that you seem to hold a grudge towards something that is making you unhappy. It is like in cooking when you have bitter and sweet as opposites. No one wants to have bitter stuff they all want the opposite which is sweet! Being called bitter is not a nice to be called. A bitter person never finds joy in anything and never seems to smile. You are right she is a "so called loving aunt" if she is calling you mean things.

That person usually is disgusted by you.

They say it because , you are not compatible for them or you are rude to them.

Calling someone bitter usually means that you come across to that individual as a "gloomy gus" or pessimistic. Do you routinely point out the negatives to any news your aunt gives? Perhaps things she views as windfalls for you, you see as potential problems. Example? Say you received 15 acceptance letters to colleges you applied to... Your aunt may say how fortunate you are to have so many fighting for your attendance, while you point out that now instead of having to choose between two or three possible colleges, you have to research and perhaps visit 15 to make a decision you had hoped to be easy.
