The old adage that 'actions speak louder than words' definitely rings true in the world of romance.
Anyone can string words together, and some people are very good at using the right words to influence others, without the other person even realising that they're being deceived.
Judge a Person's Intentions by Their Actions
Always look for actions when you want to know whether someone is genuine. Words are cheap, and a man who loves you will be thoughtful towards you - it won't be any trouble for him to text you during the day to see how you are, or phone you on the evenings that you can't be together.
The key thing to remember is that, if he loves you, he'll be thinking about you, and he'll want to spend time with you. When you're together, he'll want to hold you close and be intimate with you. He'll be happy just to spend the day in your company, doing nothing in particular, because there isn't anything else he'd rather do.

Having said all that, remember that there might be other things in his life that take a lot of his time and energy, or which might be upsetting him or stressing him out.
If he seems distant, or isn't able to find much time to spend with you, talk to him about it. Ask him open questions, and try not to sound accusative.
If he really loves you, he won't cheat on you, but you might push him away if you accuse him of something he hasn't done, so approach the subject carefully.
