You definitely are not in love. What you describe is an infatuation. That is a lot different than love. You don't mention your age which might better help in describing what is happening in your life.

This is not love. This is a normal, adolescent hormonal reaction. I get your feelings, as we've all been there. Just understand that you've got a lot of growing up to do before get there.

1) You're dealing with a crush which is completely separate from love.

2) Don't compare yourself to his past whims. He may have been with them and yet they didn't cater to his interest. And who knows? He may think that you're equal to them.

What does matter is that you personally do not try and size yourself up against them. It can take a blow to your self-esteem.

3) Ask him out. :D
