My guy friend is so confusing he sometimes gives subtle hints that he likes me then days afterwards he gives hints that he doesn't. I'm afraid to ask him if he likes me. What's the wisest thing to do?

Yeah guys can be confusing like that! I guess the wise thing would be to show that you are more mature and confident than him.

If you have feelings for him, let him know somehow, in a way that you're comfortable with, but don't make a big deal out of it.

For example, you could mention in conversation that he's cute, or that you should hang out some time or go get a pizza together...

If he's not completely shy, he'll probably say yes.

And if he rejects you, you can always backtrack and say "but I think lots of guys are cute" or "I meant getting a pizza as friends".

If he is tactless about turning you down, then turn the tables on him by saying "wow you actually thought I liked you?"
