Every one of us has negative experiences at some point or the other in our lives. Negative experiences can be pretty demoralizing, and in some cases can lead to cynicism and disillusionment. Take for instance a case where we study really hard to clear an exam, but fail by a whisker. This can cause a lot of disappointment, to the extent we may lost interest in preparing again for the exam. However, losing interest or being cynical, while being one way of looking at things, is not necessarily the right way. If every one of us were to react in this fashion, there would be very few success stories scripted in this world. We need to turn negative experiences into positive ones.
A good way of doing this is to take every experience in our lives as a learning experience. Failure is the stepping stone to success, as the saying goes. Every negative experience too has something positive in it for us to take home and work on. If we can analyze what went wrong, and then work on those aspects, we are that much more prepared when the same situation or something similar faces us the next time. Our entire life is one cumulative set of experiences, and we can learn from the negatives and ensure we do not make the same mistakes the next time we are faced with a similar situation.
