Theres a saying "these are the best years of your life" when speaking to a high school/college student. I beg to differ. My life began when I left my high school/ college years. Those years are a meer stepping stone to the best years of your life.

I would MUCH rather have the life I have now!

Mostly, yes. But I never bothered with cliques or trying tp be popular. I had a core group of 4 friends and were are still friends to this day. (And high school was a very long time ago.)

Overall, it was a great time.  I loved the football games and dances, and I had known most of my friends since elementary school.  Many of us have remained close friends  ..... Although, sadly, our numbers are diminishing with each passing year.

Nothing abt school was fun for me. I was shy and awkward from being picked on constantly. So when someone was nice to me, I thot they had hidden motives

Grade 9 was fun (my first high school- i was in a modified class and i got along with everyone, the teachers were hysterical- it was more like a non stop laughing and joke party throughout the whole year),... I had this one teacher that i was very close with, I was  beyond heartbroken when she told me that she was moving up north with her family.. she gave me a big hug and took me out for lunch during that school day- it was close to the end of the year when i heard the news.. the other teachers did their best to comfort me the following year (I spent the first 2 months of grade 10 at that school before moving back to my home Province with my parents)..

Some fun moments in grade 10 (my second high school, again a modified class but totally different from the first one i mentioned but the teach was awesome!! and he's bring us treats on during the week like pastries and doughnuts etc.).....

Grade 12 was fun (some modified classes, and some regular classes which i flopped, i had no choice but to take 2 non-elective courses- my third high school grades 11 and 12) .

Grade 11? Ehhh. Had no one to hangout with except this one kid who seemed bipolar towards me, some days he was really nice and would walk around the school with me during lunch, and other days he acted like a total enemy.

my grade 11 and 12 teacher, he was always so proud of his students and their accomplishments. he'd put us out on work experience, and most of the time we'd get hired at the end of it. i did (i ended up getting hired at the thrift shop after my work experience was over).. 10 years later he saw me working at Little Caesars and he would always come by with a big smile on his face. (some of my former classmates have said he also stops by their workplaces)
