Yes...you can meet your soul mate at any time of your life. Here is the story of my parents, true story:
He was eleven years old and she was ten, when they met each other in grade school...and my mother told me she knew even then, he was the one.
Later life did take them apart for a while, but then by chance/not chance they met again around age 26 and my mother said, "Why don't you stop by the house sometime?" and my father told me how unbelievably good those words sounded to him.
In their whole lives, there was never anyone else for either of them.
