Am I the only one who only thinks of good things I should have said hours after I talk to someone?

I was once accused of having a "Quick, acid and hurtful wit".

I was quite proud of that, actually.

Would that were true. I'd just delivered a put down to a smartass marketing manager. I was never really forgiven.

I learned to shoot from the "lip" at an early age. I am slightly more compassionate at my current age, but a well executed graceful coup d'état is still an art form in my opinion.

Also, thinking about your Shakespeare question----Do you think they just would just let Brutus send flowers rather than come to the funeral if they did Julius Caesar?

Not by a long shot.

I've never had that problem :) I always say the first thing that crosses my mind...it's not always the right thing , but I'm genuine. I like that about me, I'm awesome !!! BAM !

No you are not, but that's counterbalanced by the embarassing or inappropriate things we do say that we wish we hadn't, a sting which lasts for hours after. It's very hard to dislodge one's foot from one's mouth.

No. I've done that plenty of times. Now that I am a bible reader, I got some great advice from the book of proverbs 15:28 that tells us to meditate before answering. So I really work hard to think before I speak and consider the feelings of the person I am talking to. Hope this is helpful.
