I have 5 kids (they youngest about to turn 21.). I was always a pretty darn good parent up to about the time they each turned 12ish. You know, when stuff gets really difficult. Then I was a mess......................terrible parent.

'Cool' parents beware...you may end up with your 'cool' kids depending on you when they're adults if you spoil your kids too much.

Raise them to be 'cool' about doing their part.

Fortunately, my children think so---they grew up to be fully functional adults.
