A cute way to propose?

It depends on your situation - one man’s ‘cute’ is another man’s nightmare! (and everthing here applies to women too!) You really have to know what your intended would like, and how much time, effort and money you can afford.

I like the idea from the picture above - write in the sand - now that's a simple effective way to propose!

You’d be surprised how many men still like the old-fashioned way:

  1. Asking the girl’s father for her hand in marriage - and if the answer is positive...then later.....
  2. Getting down on one knee and presenting the girl with an engagement ring

My cousin recently got engaged. Her fiance did exactly the first thing and asked her dad for his permission.  He also did the ‘getting down on one knee thing’ - but it was on a helicopter trip above the Grand Canyon!!!  It was a total shock to my cousin who had no idea he had this planned. A big diamond ring too, how romantic!

I think when you’re on holiday is a good time to propose. Everyone is relaxed, happy and you can spend a bit of time planning ahead.  It doesn’t have to be as dramatic (and expensive) as a helicopter trip. It could be on a beach at sunset, on a lake in a boat, or at a special meal.

But if you want it to be really exciting you could propose on a Roller Coaster!  Now that would be a scream, hanging upside down and asking someone to be your wife/husband!

Lots of people get engaged at exactly 12 o’clock midnight on New Year’s Day just as the bell tolls! Aw...Happy New Year...Happy New Life!

Or why not go back to the place where you first met and propose there?

One of my friends persuaded her boyfriend to re-create their very first meeting.  Trouble was, they had met on a hill in Wales on a very cold, wet February day!  Let me tell you she had to do a lot of persuading to get him to go back there.  Of course they did and she said it was wonderful - even though their tears mingled with the pouring rain!

Not everyone likes big surprises, or expensive gestures. However -  if you are into something rather different have a look at this stunning proposal from Singapore!

Can you beat that!
