As we age, things slow down and don't always work the way they did before.  If you are experiencing pain you believe is a result, contact your healthcare provider immediately.  If it is not painful, I would simply mention it during your yearly physical.

It's completely normal for a man over the age of the 60 to experience difficulties with sexual intercourse.  In fact, men as young as 40 can experience some difficulties in the bedroom, and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

There are several other things that may become apparent as men get older, including the following:

  1. A lack of sex drive, usually founded in changes to the body.  When men struggle to finish the act of sexual intercourse, or to even achieve an erection, their sex drive may dwindle.
  2. Lower hormone levels and poor circulation leading to the loss of ability to achieve and erection.
  3. Medicines for blood pressure can also affect one's ability to achieve an erection.
  4. Some men may be able to achieve an erection, but will take much longer to become aroused than they would have done at a younger age.

There are lots of other slight changes relating to sexual performance within men as they age.  If you're concerned, you should seek the advice of your doctor, who will be able to offer some potential solutions to these problems.
