My partner isn't too fond of sports in general, and we get on ok!

I guess there could be potential complications if you were extremely passionate about your favorite team/player, and spent a lot of time watching them and going to games.

Your other half might not take to kindly to the fact that they are losing out on time with you in the first place... But especially if it's to a sports team they despise.

Generally, very few people have a passionate hatred for sports. My girlfriend has a disdain for them, but she accepts that there are certain games that I just can't miss.

Ultimately, love is capable of solving the problem if you give it a chance - no matter what team you support!

I married a Seminole fan! I am a Gator fan. The way I look at it is if the biggest disagreement you have is whose football team is going to win on the Saturday after Thanksgiving our marriage will always be strong. Besides we can also bond over our hate for Miami. :p

Of course you can. As long as you guys don't talk about sports teams or are hardcore fans of sports teams, I'm sure you'll get along. Just find something else to talk about when you're together.

Plus liking the same sports teams isn't a requirement in relationships. People can have relationships just fine without that.

There is no such thing as the perfect match.
Its nice if you like the same team but its crazy to chose a partner on that alone.

Well, I married my husband who is a Cubs fan and I am a White Sox fan. Anyone who knows Chicago, knows that you're either for one or the other. It's perfectly fine. I'm always up for a good debate or argument. Life would be boring if everybody always agreed with you. Differences are the spice of life.
