The Closer I Get To You by Robert Flack and Donny Hathaway...it just encompasses everything you should feel about your soulmate. Oh this is a great question; I can't wait to see what everyone else thinks.

I love the simplicity of the melody, my heart feels heavy whenever I listen to this, but in a good way though.

Apart from that, it's a special song for me because someone dedicated this song to me a long time ago. We like each other, but I guess the timing wasn't right. When he first told me he loves me, I had someone, but now that I'm single, he's happily married to someone else. This song gives me hope that someday I will be happy again with someone else. Although we can't be together, I will still love him --as a friend. Because love knows no boundaries. :)
