If you look at unique names they are often not very nice such as Volfango, which is Italian like me, but some are very nice sounding and have a unique meaning, like mine: Linnea ( pronounced lin A uh)is belgium and means lime tree which is a sign of hospitality there. So don't just look for unique names look for something that has a unique meaning. That way if it sounds bad it can mean something really beautiful. Hope this helped.

I bet if you call her "Hydrocephalus" *** there certainly won't be any other girls with that name :-p

It'd be totally unique

*** Or "Vacuum-Cleaner"

*** Or "Doorbell"

*** Or "Swamp-Donkey"

*** Or "Triceratops"

LOL -Sorry I  just couldn't resist that :-)

Seriously though ...

The trouble is all the conventional names have already been used, so they'd not be unique.

Maybe you'd be better off with a rare name like "Rhiannon" (an ancient Welsh Goddess) or "Seren" (Meaning "star") -both Welsh (as am I ;-)  )

HTH :-)

One of the most unique girl names I ever heard was the name "Shin". I knew a girl a long time ago, her name was Shin Lee and supposedly her mother named her that after a famous woman (of whom, I do not know). Anyway, I thought it was a pretty name when Lee was used directly with it...Shin Lee... Hope this helps!

A unique name can mean a lot of things to other people. Maybe it's unusual, odd, different and etc. The important of putting a name for a baby is that she or he is going to be known by that name for the rest of their lifes if they don't change their name when they are 18

I've always liked Clothilde (pronounced klo-TEELD).  It's French.  And the variant Clotilda (pronounced like it looks :)).  I've never met anyone by either name.

In my personal opinion, Belladonna, Umah, Selene, Monica, and Valkarie would be good unique names.

Haven't they been used as names before ?

Wasn't that woman who didn't have sexual relations with that US President called "Monica" (Lewinsky) ?

:-D

Every Name has been used once or twice. Unless you come up with a name, it has been used.

I thought unique meant exactly that,"a one off", "alone", "on its own" etc. If it's been used before, surely its "rare" not "unique" ?

It's only semantics anyway ;-)

Have fun :-)
